Women's Institute - Farnborough (WI Flyers)

The WI-Flyers are a group of local women who meet on a monthly basis. At every meeting there will be a speaker and or a planned activity. Besides the monthly meeting there is a Book Group which meets every six weeks in the Prince of Wales Pub, a Walking Group which meet about every 6 months. The Outings Group, is planning trips, and they would love to run a craft club when they can find the right person to run it!

The WI-Flyers Farnborough is part of a larger group of local Women's Institutes called the Hart Group. There are 11 WIs in Hart Group from our local area. The Group meet twice a year and hold a Christmas Carol Service and compete against each other in Federation Competitions, such as Quiz and Darts. Each WI takes it in turn to organise the years events.

The WI-Flyers (Farnborough) are part of Hampshire Federation of WIs. Every WI is self-governing within the framework of the WI constitution and belongs to a regional office, known as a federation. These 69 federations are run by an elected board of members known as Federation Trustees and employed staff. Federations are the link between the WI in their area and the WI’s national office in London. The Federation oversees all of the Hampshire WI’s (of which there are about 200 and approximately 6500 members).

The Farnborough Women's Institute - WI Flyers are a group of local women who meet on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 19.30-21.30 at Cove Cricket Club.
Join them to make new friends, learn something new, have fun doing something you enjoy with others. WI Flyers would love to meet you and before you commit why not come to their next meeting and see what it is all about? If you like what you see please join!
