About

Starburst Theatre Academy (STA) is a musical theatre academy launched off the back of the award-winning theatre company. Starburst Theatre Academy will reach out to various children Including disadvantaged children from difficult backgrounds who would not normally undertake the arts due to domestic circumstances. To offer a platform that can remove a child from a difficult reality and allow escape to a world of fun and creative autonomy.
Currently STA is running Musical Theatre Saturday School sessions (10.00-13.00 - term-time only) for children and young people - 6-8 years, 9-12 years, 13-17 years covering singing, dancing, acting. Taster sessions can be booked via the STA website.

Room Hire: Starburst Studios is designed to be a multi-purpose space for the community to use and enjoy, as well as being a fully equipped Musical Theatre teaching venue. The venue is available term time 17.00-22.00 every weekday, 8.00-22.00 every weekend. The venue is available non-term time 8.00-22.00 every day. The building is equipped with a kitchen containing a microwave and fridge. The kitchen has a supply of cutlery and crockery.

Starburst Studios comprises:
Studio 1 (Dance) - 17m x 7m / 57ft x 23ft. Sprung wooden dance floor with a grey dance mat. Wall-mounted sound system. Wall of mirrors. 65" wall-mounted TV. Piano. Ceiling fans and Velux electric opening windows.
Studio 2 - (Dance) - 10m x 4m / 33ft x 14ft. Sprung wooden dance floor with a grey dance mat. Wall of mirrors. Wall-mounted sound system. 65" wall-mounted TV.
Electric Piano.
Studio 3 - (Vocal) - 7m x 4m /24ft x 14ft. Floor with a black carpet. Piano. 65" wall-mounted TV.
Studio 4 - 1st Floor - 5.5m x 4.5m / 18ft x 15ft. Black foamex flooring.
Heritage Meeting Room - (Located in Garden - accessed via carpark gate) - 4.5m x 3.5m /15ft x 11.5ft. Table, with 10 chairs. Projector, whiteboard and flip charts.
Kettle. Disabled Toilet toilet, with hot and cold running water.

Activities at this venue often include: yoga, pilates, dance, martial arts, drama.

About Starburst Foundation

The Starburst Foundation is an active part of the community. It strives to produce quality theatre whilst raising money for Starburst Charity helping local children with special needs. They produce two main shows a year. A musical in the summer and a pantomime at Christmas. If you are interested in joining them please contact them via e-mail or through the web-site. They are always looking for new people to help out whether on stage or back stage. All profits from their productions go to Starburst Charity which allow the Charity to grant wishes to local children with special needs.

Another source of funds for our charity is thier Costume/Equipment Hire department. Whether you are a theatre company requiring professional sound or lighting equipment or a complete range of costumes for your production or just want to hire that special fancy dress outfit for a night out, Starburst have a full catalogue of goods for every need at affordable prices.

Starburst Foundation has recently re-launched Starburst Theatre Academy from its new base at Yateley Village Hall.
