The Barnado's team of Community Development Health Workers deliver free-to-attend sessions, courses and events across Hampshire, providing key health information for families with young children, based on the latest UK health guidance.
Information sessions are free to attend and take place at local libraries. Session topics include:
* Five to Thrive - New Baby (a course over 4 weeks exploring 5 building blocks for your baby’s optimal brain development).
* Baby and Toddler Talk (a 1.5 hour session to find out more about supporting your child's language and speaking skills).
* Family Food and Fun (ideas to help make meal times a real family activity).
* Two and Beyond (this session looks at your child’s journey from being ready to learn at the age of two to being ready for school at the age of five).
Access to online digital information sessions are also available.

Ready Steady Walks are free, push-chair friendly, social walking groups for families with young children living in Hampshire.Ready Steady Walk is a good excuse to get out into the fresh air and give you the chance to meet local families in your community. Your local walking group will be led by a Barnardo’s volunteer, or your local community worker. The walking groups meet once a week at the same venue in your area, at the same day and time.
The Ready Steady Walk Fleet group meets outside Fleet Library on Thursdays at 10.30 - look out for the Barnado's volunteer who will be wearing a green lanyard.

In Hampshire, Barnado's works in partnership with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Health Visiting and School Nursing Service to provide Hampshire Healthy Families' healthy child programme.
