About Fleet United Reform Church
The United Reformed Church was formed in 1972 through the union of the Congregational Church and the Presbyterian Church. In Fleet, a Congregational Church was founded in 1912, with the building opening in July 1914. When the United Reformed Church was formed in 1972, it became Fleet United Reformed Church. The church premises underwent extensive modernisation in 2004 and a new hall, kitchen, meeting rooms, office and vestibule were added to the original church building, with the intention from the outset that these should be used for the mutual benefit of the members of the church and the local community. The URC building is now used by 30 different groups each week.
