Fleet Orchestra meets at St Philip & St James Church on Wednesday evenings at 19.30. The Orchestra usually play for about 2 hours, including a short break. They play during term time and also during school holidays if possible, see the rehearsal schedule on the website for all the dates and times. About Fleet Orchestra

Fleet Orchestra is a small ensemble, who enjoy playing their instruments and working together to make music. Every Wednesday evening they meet in Fleet to improve their playing skills and to experience new music under the guidance of their musical director, Vince Godfrey.

Their repertoire ranges from arrangements of the classics through to light music, and includes some pieces specially written or arranged for them. However they do endeavour to ensure that the music is appropriate for the resources and standard of players in the group.

Fleet Orchestra welcomes players both the enthusiast and those who may not have played for a long time. However the music the orchestra plays requires a standard of, as a general guide, equivalent to around Grade 4 and above. There is no age barrier and they welcome older school children and college students. The entry qualification is keenness to play and learn! Get in touch if you are interested to know more.
