About Fleet Hospital & Community Friends
The primary aim of the Fleet Hospital Community Friends is to improve the care and comforts of the patients, above those which are funded and provided by the NHS. The Friends also increase the profile of Fleet Hospital through their membership and connections with local groups and businesses.
• To provide a conduit between the NHS and the local residents. Thus feeding back the views on proposed changes in services.
• To monitor services.
• To use donations in a sensible and efficient way, that responds to the needs of the patents.
• Provide personnel when the future of the hospital was in doubt and to fight for the future of their local hospital.
• To hold fund raising events
The Friends use monies from bequests/donations/events and membership to enhance local Health Care.
