Fleet Flower Club holds ten meetings a year on the third Thursday of the month (August the exception; when it is the second Thursday of the month) usually at Crookham War Memorial Hall. Doors open at 19.30 for 20.00 start. The Club offers a varied programme of: demonstrations carried out by NAFAS national or area accredited demonstrators, monthly competitions, beginner’s classes, workshops, annual show, garden visits. At most meetings there is a raffle of demonstrators’ arrangements, and a sales table offering a variety of floristry sundries such as floral foam, dishes, stands, wire etc.

NAFAS publications such as “The Flower Arranger” magazine and other NAFAS merchandise can also be purchased along with the Wessex and Jersey area magazine “Window on Wessex”. Both publications provide a wealth of information.

The Club competes at the NAFAS National show and the WAFA (World Association of Floral Artists) show, and has competed 6 times at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show; winning a Bronze medal on two occasions. They support and participate in local flower festivals held at churches such as St Mary’s in Hartley Wintney, Our Lady’s in Fleet, and also at Salisbury, Romsey & Portsmouth and Winchester cathedrals.

About Fleet Flower Club

Fleet Flower Club had its first official meeting in 1971, that came about after a group of local ladies started meeting informally in the late 1960s sharing their interest in flowers and flower arranging. Fleet Flower Club is now affiliated to NAFAS (National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies reg charity no 1101348) and is part of the Wessex and Jersey area, which covers Hampshire, Isle of Wight, parts of Wiltshire and Dorset and Jersey.
