Boat Trips (Basingstoke Canal)

About

The Basingstoke Canal Society owns two passenger boats providing pleasure trips on the Basingstoke Canal. The John Pinkerton II operates from Odiham and hosts up to 50 guests and is available for private charter or public boat trips and themed boat trips. Public trips can be booked online through the Basingstoke Canal Society website. (A second boat - Kitty - up to 12 guests is based at Woking).

Charter trips are available every day between April and October when Public and Themed Trips are not taking place. Charter trips are unique one-off events that may require tailoring to the requirements of the customer. All charter requests are subject to confirmation by the Booking team who will be in touch with you to discuss your trip and make the necessary arrangements. Trip duration times are approximate as local conditions may impact. If you are not sure or want to discuss alternatives times then you can contact the Booking Team on 0750 686 4411 (between 10.00 and 18.00).

All proceeds go towards the charitable work of the Basingstoke Canal Society.

About The Basingstoke Canal Society

The Basingstoke Canal Society has been promoting and campaigning for the sustainable future of the Canal as a navigation and public amenity since 1966. Through the John Pinkerton Canal Cruises operation, it raises money which is used to fund maintenance and improvement works undertaken. The Society has clear plans to keep the canal alive. The Society has strengthened how it organises itself, and continues to build their team of volunteers which now stands at over 250 enthusiasts and is expanding.
