Weekly Paddling Club Sessions: venues vary depending on the time of year. Summer Season - Aldershot Lido. Winter Season - Yateley Manor School. Spring and Autumn Seasons - Basingstoke Canal. Weekly sessions are open to individuals and families of of any skill level. If you are looking to get into paddle sports then these sessions can be perfect for you, we have many qualified coaches who can teach you how to paddle and build your confidence; the Lido (and other indoor pool venues) are also ideal for new paddlers with the clean water helping to build your confidence. These sessions are also great for experienced paddlers, BVCC coaches can help you develop specific skills, such as freestyle or learning to roll. Alternatively you can use the time to practice by yourself or simply enjoy paddling with friends/other like-minded people.

Canoe Polo: Summer training 4 times a week at Hawley Lake and winter season at Whitehill & Bordon Leisure Centre, as well as Hawley Lake on the weekends.
BVCC have three open teams, in Open National Divisions 2, 3 and 4, as well as two women’s teams, competing in Women’s National Division 1 and 2. They also regularly attend weekend tournaments in the UK/Europe, spanning a wide range of levels, so there is an opportunity for everyone to experience competing at large events.

About Blackwater Valley Canoe Club

Blackwater Valley Canoe Club is a community focused canoe club run by volunteers welcoming all individuals and families of any level. The club runs a programme of regular activities in a variety of disciplines with access to a range of equipment to support your participation. BVCC has many British Canoeing qualified coaches with experience in a wide range of disciplines. The club has also built up an extensive collection different club boats, ranging from recreational kayaks & sit-on tops, to open canoes, playboats, whitewater kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, slalom boats, and even a few more specialised craft such as wildwater racers and sprint boats. This allows the club to offer its members a very diverse paddling experience.

User Cost/Charge Information
Monthly Subscriber – This is the standard membership for those who prefer to pay monthly and for canoe polo. It allows you to paddle without having to pay the per session/event club fees. You may also borrow club equipment for trips and (at the discretion of the committee) personal use. Membership fees: Youth/Student £30 and then £15.00 per month. Adult £50 and then £15.00 per month.
There are multiple options for those who do not wish to take out a monthly subscription on "pay as you paddle" basis. Full details on the Membership pages of the website.
