Bereavement Support (Hampshire)

About

Butterflies Bereavement Support is only available to adults (18+).
They can provide counselling support to parents who are supporting their children through bereavement.

Bereavement counselling:
Low-cost bereavement counselling on a 1-2-1 basis either face to face in their Eastleigh office, by phone, or Zoom/Teams.

Telephone befriending service:
A friendship service providing a weekly telephone call from a trained volunteer, at a time mutually convenient. The conversation will be about topics of interest and calls usually last up to 60 minutes. The service is suitable for people who:
-are lonely or isolated
-are able to hear and be understood over the phone
-are able to commit to a weekly call

Bereavement Groups:
Drop-in groups in Hampshire are suitable for anyone suffering from grief or loss. You don't need to register or pre-book, simply turn up on the day. This can be done in combination with their counselling service, or on it's own.
Groups are informal settings and run by Butterflies team members:

- 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month 10:30am-12pm at Forest Community Centre in Bordon £4 per session (refreshments included).

- 1st & 3rd Monday of each month 6.30-8.00pm at the Butterflies Centre in Eastleigh £4 per session (refreshments included).

About Butterflies Bereavement Support

Butterflies Bereavement Support provides professional bereavement counselling and bereavement drop-in groups in Hampshire to support adults who are dealing with grief and loss. They also operate a telephone buddy service to support people who are lonely or isolated.

User Cost/Charge Information
Bereavement counselling: donation of £20 per session (or £10 if on low-income) where possible. However, they will not turn anyone away.
Friendship Service: a small contribution would be most appreciated in order to help them continue to support clients and activities now and in the future.
