About
Aerobility provides a range of flying and flying related experiences and activities for adults and young people with a different disabilities or health conditions which require their support from Aerobility's team and adapted aircraft.
Experience Flights: A once in a lifetime experience or the beginning of your journey into aviation – trial flights are an ideal way to introduce yourself to the world of flying.
Flight Training: For those that want to pursue the dream of flight, our CAA approved flight instructors can take you through to a Private Pilot’s Licence and beyond.
Aircraft Hire: Aircraft available for private hire to disabled pilots who hold the necessary qualifications.
Groundschool: To ensure that you meet the necessary qualifications, or just for those with an interest, we run regular Groundschool lessons and provide examination facilities.
Simulator Sessions: The Aerobility flight simulator can be used for training exercises, introductory sessions before taking to the real aircraft, or as a fun experience.
Junior Aspiring Pilot Programme: This programme introduces young people with learning disabilities and/or physical impairments aged between 12 and 18 years to the magic of flight. This programme aims to use aviation as a tool to provide young people with transferable skills that they can take in to education and employment.
Aviation Education Programme: This programme has the same aim as the Junior Aspiring Pilot Programme but is totally ground-based. Over 16 sessions participants will be introduced to a range of aviation careers that can be achieved without stepping foot in a cockpit. This programme is suitable for young people aged between 12 and 18 years with learning and/ or physical disabilities and is run by volunteers who have worked across the aviation industry.
About Aerobility
Aerobility is a charity offering disabled people the opportunity to fly an aeroplane. Aerobility removes barriers and offers disabled people a real sense of achievement and genuinely changes people's lives. Aerobility's specially adapted aircraft provide life changing trial flights and flight training. Aerobility aims to support all kinds of disabled aviation and represents the needs of disabled people whatever their aviation aspirations. The charity supports over 400 disabled people every year, with participants ranging from disabled kids through to soldiers recently wounded on active duty. Aerobility is a user led organisation and aims to make flying and aviation accessible to everyone whatever their disability. User Cost/Charge Information
Each 30 minute Experience Flight costs £82. You can also bring a carer, friend or family member to assist you on the day and they can join you in the sky for a £10 suggested donation. For other activities and experiences, please inquire.
